Emotional symbols
The project reflects on how individuals imagine (by drawing) the emotions of joy, excitement, security, fear, anger, sadness and shame. I used a combination of symbols, sound and movements to reflect each emotion.

Book about the making of the symbols. I had participants draw how they see those seven emotions. I had around 170 symbols from participants and chose those I (and my instagram followers) found most relevant for each emotion. As a contrast to the bold symbols I used a thin serif typeface, Bon voyage, from Made Type.
The aim was to get people to see their emotions as something almost tangible and in that way get to know them a bit better.
